Karen Sprute-Francovich M.A,. is a Certified Anusara Yoga Instructor & Teacher Trainer, Yoga Alliance Registered Teacher (ERYT-500 hour level). She has practiced yoga for 35 years and taught for 20 years. In addition to her studio classes, she teaches at North Idaho College, leads workshops and retreats, and teaches year-long Immersions and Teacher Training Programs. Karen’s teaching is informed by her long term study and practice of Asian Bodywork Therapies and movement arts. She is certified with the AOBTA and NCCAOM, certifying agencies for Asian Bodywork Therapy and Oriental Medicine.
Since 1994 she has been a whole-hearted student of John Friend and Anusara Yoga. Her classes inspire and challenge all levels of students.
All hours with Karen count towards National Teacher Certification.

Terri Simmons - is immensely grateful for the practice and teaching of yoga in her life! She began her study of Yoga in 2000 and has studied Anusara Yoga since 2001. Terri completed a year long Anusara Yoga Immersion and Teacher Training program in the Spring of 2006. During the 2006 - 2007 year she engaged in an advanced study and practice group which focused on Yoga philosophy, as well as Asana and meditation practice. She is currently continuing her formal teacher training and study of Yoga and is working in a close 2 year apprenticeship with Karen.
Jenifer Harbour arrived at the practice of Yoga in 2005 and quickly found that for her it is the way to open her heart, develop spiritually, and fully embrace life. She began her study of Anusara Yoga in 2006 and has been studying with Karen Sprute-Francovich and Patricia Berger. Underlying and interwoven throughout her Yoga studies has been her experience and knowledge of at risk youth. Jenifer has been a CASA volunteer and trainer for over 9 years. This work has strengthened and expanded on her natural ability to understand youth and it has taught her the patience and presence necessary to open the hearts of not only at risk youth but all teenagers.
Jenifer teaches Yoga in the Kootenai County Juvenille Detention Facility in Coeur d¹Alene. You can read about her Yoga experiences there by logging on to yogaontheinside.blogspot.com. She is also teaching Yoga at Garden Street and North Idaho College. Jenifer recently completed a year long Anusara Immersion and Teacher Training, and is entering into an apprenticeship with Karen Sprute-Francovich. She is eternally grateful to her and to all of her teachers as she shares the lineage of Yoga that was shared with her to her students and hopes to honor her teachers through her teachings of at risk youth.
Nancy Schilling, B.A. - Yoga Alliance Registered Teacher (200 hour level), delights in the practice and teaching of Yoga. Her curiosity, creativity and lifelong enthusiasm for exercise and the movement arts brought her to the study of Yoga in 1999. She has been a student of Anusara Yoga since 2001. Nancy has a gift for teaching and brings to her teaching of Yoga a background in elementary education and a deep gratitude for the opportunities that Anusara Yoga offers to support optimal health and inner peace. Her classes introduce Yoga as a path to beauty, strength and poise in mind and body.
Amy Stout, M.A., Yoga Alliance Registered Teacher (200 hour level), has studied and practiced yoga since 2000 and has been a student of Anusara Yoga since 2002. Amy completed a year long Anusara Yoga Immersion and Teacher Training program in the Spring of 2005. She is currently continuing her formal teacher training and study of Yoga. Amy also teaches Yoga at North Idaho College where she is pursuing her study of and love for art.
